EITB and Hostoil (THE MEDIAPRO STUDIO) publish an island in Fortnite that has been inspired by EL CONQUISTADOR DEL FIN DEL MUNDO, harnessing the attraction of interactive virtual spaces to keep connecting with young viewers

The popular cross-platform game Fortnite and the hit reality TV show EL CONQUISTADOR DEL FIN DEL MUNDO have joined forces to create the game based on this survival contest produced by Hostoil (THE MEDIAPRO STUDIO) which has enjoyed a 21-season run on EITB. What’s more, after being picked up by TVE and Argentina’s Canal 13, THE MEDIAPRO STUDIO México and CIMARRÓN – which has been integrated into the Studio – have adapted the show for Televisa-Univision.

EITB has partnered with Hostoil (THE MEDIAPRO STUDIO) and Raised by Monsters to develop EL CONQUIS in Fortnite, the first virtual island inspired by TV’s most extreme adventure show, EL CONQUISTADOR DEL FIN DEL MUNDO. This highly successful format, with over 20 seasons on air, is now launching an interactive, multiplayer, and cross-platform experience through Fortnite – the industry leader in gaming – inviting viewers to experience the ultimate adventure.

This initiative underscores the commitment of THE MEDIAPRO STUDIO and EITB LAB to extending the reach of EL CONQUISTADOR DEL FIN DEL MUNDO by creating interactive virtual spaces in environments beyond conventional media, but where millions of users can be found who enjoy shows such as EL CONQUISTADOR DEL FIN DEL MUNDO. With this expansion to the virtual universe most visited by young people, EL CONQUISTADOR DEL FIN DEL MUNDO bolsters its connection with young audiences, offering a new way to interact with the show.

The creation of EL CONQUIS in Fortnite includes logos, textures and 3D models that all fans of the program will easily recognize, but that are also in keeping with Fortnite’s own aesthetic. EL CONQUIS in Fortnite is a competitive island offering five rounds of the reality show’s most thrilling challenges. Each round represents a different challenge inspired by iconic tests such as the maze, parkour course, house of cards, and zip line, all beautifully rendered in authentic ‘Conquis’ style. Players can compete solo or in teams, and even interact with Paxi Alonso, creator and host of the show, via an in-game chat.

On this custom Fortnite island, players will compete individually or in teams through five challenging rounds tailored to Fortnite’s gameplay. Strategy, skill, and speed are key to overcoming challenges and being crowned the winning team.

The island accommodates up to 12 players, split into two teams of six. At the start of the game, all players enter a main lobby where they will have a waiting period to prepare and explore. They’ll also be able to chat with show host Patxi Alonso, gaining access to additional island secrets.

The island is designed to faithfully reflect the atmosphere of El Conquistador del Fin del Mundo. Each round and zone of ​​the island will be decorated with props and layouts reminiscent of the show’s iconic locations, from natural elements like logs and obstacles to zip lines and distinctive structures.

Try it, even if you don’t have a console

To access Conquis Island in Fortnite, players can use their usual consoles, such as PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch. Additionally, for those without a console, the island is completely free to play thanks to platforms like Xbox Cloud Gaming and Amazon Luna. The game can thus be accessed without a console or powerful PC, as it runs entirely in the cloud, requiring only a strong internet connection.

To play via Xbox Cloud Gaming, you simply need a free Microsoft account. Go to the Xbox Cloud Gaming website (xbox.com/play), sign in with your account, search for Fortnite, and start playing directly from your browser, without downloading anything. It works on mobile phones, tablets, and any computer with internet access. You can play by connecting a PS4, PS5, Xbox One, or Xbox Series X Bluetooth controller, or directly with a keyboard and mouse.

Another option is Amazon Luna, Amazon’s cloud gaming service. In Spain, you can access Fortnite for free through the free Luna plan, as long as you have an Amazon account. Just go to luna.amazon.com, search for Fortnite, and start playing. It also works from a browser and is compatible with various devices while also allowing the use of gaming peripherals.

Joxan Goñi is both the creator anddirector of this program, which boasts a 250-strong technical crew.
